Just a quick note.
After reading oodles of board responses I am sort of tired of the "shut up and go play some other game" response people have when you either prove that 4E fails in some way, opine that 4E is not better than some other edition, or that 4E somehow does not meet the specs of competing with another game system.

Well i was wondering what u guys think about my style of playing.
I wanted to know beacuse i slice a majority of my forehand instead of hitting it normal with top spin, and i try to hit most of my shot with my bh top spin.
i find my slice fh to be effective and easy to hit and much better than my top spin fh. It skids lot and goes deep.
I also try to run around my fh when i have an opportunity. i was wondering what do u guys think of this playing style of slicing 60% of my fh to set up for a bh...

What is in your opinion the best power generation method for hitting (method/system of striking)? On National Geographic was measured as the most powerful strike the boxers punch. Can any IMA strike compare to that strike?

We all know that the pitcher is the player most likely to be hurt with a batted ball. With altered bats it makes it even more likely. Since it appears the Grand Poo-Bahs of ALL the associations are going to sit on their @$$ and do nothing more than accept money from bat manufacturers. BTW Grand Poo-Bahs are not the State Commissioners they are in THIS case the HIGHEST ranking officials in the ASA, ISA, NSA and USSSA.

Base hitting

I have been watching the Blasting Bombs, Spraying Singles DVD and many of the people that talked about base hitting said that they take something off their swing when trying to base hit. I have always just swung hard but I am thinking about changing it up when I want to keep it in the yard. How many of you take off for basehitting and do you think that is an effective strategy?

So, it's developed a problem with the hammer catching in the half-cock notch. The local shop owner (his smith wasn't in, but he looked at it) thinks it's hitting the pin and bouncing back. I had it apart tonight, and didn't notice any excessive wear on anything, so I think it's a weakened mainspring.
It's been a little inaccurate since I got it (Soaked the barrel in solvent and recrowned, so I'm not sure yet. It can only have improved), so I'm thinking about taking advantage of the current marke...

Need some hitting and fielding drills

So I've used the search function and found a few drills that sound pretty good. Just wanting to get some opinions on which are best and if there are any other better ones out there.
Hitting (for hand/eye coordination only):
-Broom stick/golf ball drill
-Wiffle ball toss drill
-Colored dots on ball drill
-Numbers on ball drill
-Softball toss straight up and hit it drill
Any others?
Which of the above is best? Or a combination?
Fielding:
-Tennis and/or racquet ball off wall
-Not sure of the name,...

HItting hybrids???

I'm not sure this is the correct place to post, but thought I would ask for everyone's advice/opinions regarding hybrids.
I am fairly new to the game, and have been working hard to improve my swing, and have seen much improvement in my swing, and contact/ballflight with my irons (5 iron is becoming my favorite club) - still need to work on adding some distance throughout the bag.
My problem is my 3 & 4 hybrids - i can't hit them. I have gotten lucky a few times and caught a good shot - but that...

So I'm thinking about buying my parents a new tv for Christmas, and I'm thinking of actually waking up early and hitting up the Black Friday sales...just to be part of the crowd and have something to talk about at work
But after doing some window shopping it came down to 2:
50" LCD Plasma (LG brand I believe)
60" DLP 1080p (Mitsu)
Both will be $1000
TV may have a game console hooked up that won't be used much maybe once/twice a week.
Either way it'll be better than their current 10+ year old 60"...
