2. Should WWII Nazis be honored as veterans?   (01 Nov 2008)
I got into an interesting debate with an American friend of mine who is currently living in Germany. We discussed whether or not WWII German soldiers should be honored as veterans. We had different viewpoints -- although not entirely polar opinions. He doesn't think they should be honored, but doesn't think that they should be ashamed of their Nazi service either. I believe that they should be honored as the veterans that they are. They served their nation for a cause they believed to be the rig...

3. opinions couldn't hurt, new personal logo   (26 Oct 2008)
I've got a bad case of designer's block and wondered if anyone has any opinion of the following logo. I'm rebranding myself and have come up with the name "ectonym" meaning literally "outside of name" but a little more liberally meaning "beyond being named". Anyway, I really like the word ectonym, but am going very slowly in my process in developing something solid I can use pieces of in a total branding campaign. I love the colors, I love the kerning, I love the typeface (it's an edited Rockwel...

4. Nazi Techno   (29 Oct 2008)
http://www.splcenter.org/intel/inte...cle.jsp?aid=937 Quote: :'Nazi Techno' Fad Hits Dance Floors By Casey Sanchez Early last Oct. 4, the residents of a largely Jewish neighborhood in a suburb of New York City awoke to find that discs of neo-Nazi music, which listed contact information for the Aryan Nations, had been tossed onto their front yards overnight. One of the tracks contained samples of Third Reich-era Hitler speeches layered over jittery electronic dance beats. Media coverage referenci...

5. Serbian Denial of Nazi Connection Does NOT Pass Reality Check   (21 Nov 2008)
Serbian hands have LOTS of blood on them: Serbia’s Secret War: Propaganda and the Deceit of History http://shmajser.wordpress.com/2006/1...-manipulations The first experiments in mass executions of camp inmates by poison gas were carried out in Serbia. Serbia was the first country to proudly declare itself “Judenfrei” (”cleansed” of Jews). In the late 1980s, with the blessing of Slobodan Milosevic, a group of Serbs organized the Serbian Jewish Friendship Society, which has propagandized endlessl...

6. The Soupman, Red Bank, NJ Complaint - Ripoff Prices From The Real "Soup Nazi...   (13 Nov 2008)
Last weekend, I was strolling around downtown Red Bank, NJ, when I spotted The Soup Man restaurant. Being a big "Seinfeld" fan, and loving the "Soup Nazi" episode, I decided to try it out. Sure enough, this place was founded by Al Yageneh, the inspiration for the Soup Nazi. Al's scowling countenance was on the window of this place. OK, let's check it out. They had crab bisque, so I ordered a cup. I was shocked at the price: $9.85, for a really little cup of soup, a lousy hunk of stale bread, a b...

7. Pinstripes?   (10 Nov 2008)
I'm woking on my 65 21 window and wanted some opinions. I'm doing it a bit custom (stock Nazis are warned) and wanted to see what the masses think of the following. I am doing the bus in custom yet vinatge style colors that were inspired (read stolen) by the Canadian 23 window at the Classic this summer. I'm wanting the bus to have a vintage and classy feel. I finsihed color sanding/buffing the dash yesterday and got to thinking about pinstriping it. I think I like it and am curious how it comes...

9. Should this man have the 'right' to die?   (19 Nov 2008)
Quote: : Noel Martin, paralysed after being attacked by neo-Nazis, is planning a trip to Switzerland to commit assisted suicide. On Monday, we carried an open letter from disabled broadcaster Liz Carr, urging Noel to think again (see link, below). His response in full: Noel's Response This is quite thought provoking, I have my own opinions but I would like to hear yours?

10. 11/17/08 Homeschoolers seek asylum from Nazi-era law   (18 Nov 2008)
'We left family, our home ... but the freedom is worth it' WorldNetDaily http://wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=81318 The Homeschool Legal Defense Association is helping a family with an unusual, first-of-its-kind application: political asylum in the United States from Germany's oppressive homeschooling laws. The Uwe and Hannelore Romeike family fled their native Bissingen, Germany, to escape persecution under a Nazi-era law requiring all children to attend public school to avoid "the emer...
