Well i know this could well be a controversial subject for some, but lets keep it civil, I for one am quite excited by the election of Barrack Obama, i think it is time for a change, and am optimistic that only good will come of it, i have yet to hear how Obama will consider the fair deal trade that Mccain was a 100 per cent behind for NZ, so am hoping Obama will follow suit.

I'm not a big fan of either McCain or Obama. I was going to write in Ron Paul on my ballot. Ive been told, that since Ron Paul has not "registered" as a write in candidate in Arizona, my vote will not be counted.

Be careful with DCA approach. Dollar cost averaging hasn't worked to well for your DCA investor in Japanese equities since 1990. In fact someone who'd DCA'd since then would be mostly underwater.
If the US market follows the performance of the Japanese equity market over the last 18 years, I doubt you'd be as chipper as you are today..
