What do you think about these shields?
(29 Oct 2008)
I just began dabbling in the world of foreign shields and i only know a very few of the ins and outs of fake spotting, so i will leave these to the trained eyes to decide...
I have my own opinions about each of these items, however, i am very new to this area of the hobby and would like to get the expert's input. I have also done numerous searches regarding each looking for specific examples, but there are just so many exceptions its impossible for a shield newbie to be confident!

What do you lifters think about the Smith machine?
(02 Nov 2008)
Hello W&W,
At my gym, they recently got a new Jones Smith machine. The regular ones only move up and down, but this one moves in two directions: up-and down, and back and forth.
It looks like this:
I really like it for the following reasons:
I workout alone, so I have nobody to spot me. This is safer as it has rails to keep me from crushing myself, and twisting the bar will lock it in place.
It's better than regular stationary machines. You get quite a bit of stabilizer work in.

Spots
(30 Sep 2008)
I have not seen many reports on spots just wondering is any body catching any and if so what would be my best bet the James River around M&M or going out at Lynnhaven or Rude Inlet was thinking about going out Friday.

Thinking about whining
(14 Oct 2008)
I had been thinking about starting a post so I could whine about the terrible show we attended over the weekend (actally only my wife attended, I stayed home and made pens). Terrible spot to set up, way more craft than art with hints of flea market, $2.00 pens would have been overpriced for this sparse crowd, yada, yada, yada
But after Ed's weekend I'm happy to say we almost covered expenses, it could have been worse. Sometimes the blessings are cleverly disguised.

Hey Humane soc! What do you REALLY think about Palin?
(23 Sep 2008)
Looks like Sarah Palin's spot on the Republican ticket has finally given the Humane Society Legislative Fund a reason to break it's long-standing rule about endorsing presidential candidates.
Humane Society Legislative Fund Endorses Obama-Biden
They don't seem to think to highly of la Palin.

What do you think about Eminger
(07 Nov 2008)
All right, I know I have read it in some other posts already but I thought a seperate post might be interesting. Personally I think he is a bust. I know that it is young in the season and that maybe the coaching is not the best and maybe he doesn't have the best linemates, but how many excuses can we make? One on one a couple times last night and it looked like someone had tied his skate laces together. Am I missing something with this guy? I would rather take my chances with Kukkonen then have...

Thinking about the playoff roster
(24 Sep 2008)
Quote: The best line up the Red Sox can throw out has Drew in it.
Excellent news.
That's an understatement. If Drew can be 90% for the playoffs, this team will be very, very dangerous.

Bench options include Bailey and/or Casey, Coco or Dreamy, Kotsay, Cora, Cash, Ross. That's one too many, but a nice list to choose from. I guess Ross and Bailey...

That shape... it looks so familiar. Can't place it... well, it'll come to me if I think about it long enough.
